With the Presidential elections just over a year away, reports of which celebrities support which candidates are all over the news. Oprah Winfrey has announced her endorsement for Barack Obama, Tom Hanks and Ben Stiller donated money to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and Tony Sirico of “The Sopranos” gave money to Giuliani. So we want to know, does a celebrity’s endorsement affect your vote?

Not at all. I could care less what the privilaged think. For me, its all about the candidate and their stance on the issues that I think are driving the United States. Although, I guess its interesting to see.

I wouldn’t go as far to say it affects my vote… I would never blindly vote for a candidate just because a celebrity supports them, but I would definitely say if I share political opinions/beliefs with a celebrity, and they endorse a certain candidate, I will be more inclined to research that candidate and learn more about their platform.
